Connecting Essential Resources With Community Organizations
The Neighborhood Needs Network provides shelf-stable groceries, diapers, hygiene products, and other essential supplies to schools, nonprofits, churches, and community organizations serving families throughout Miami-Dade County.
These organizations identify families with immediate needs and distribute resources through the trusted relationships they have already built—helping ensure support reaches those who need it most.
Whether you’re looking to receive resources or help provide them, there’s a place for you in the Neighborhood Needs Network.
Join the Network if your organization serves families in need and would like to receive essential resources.
Become a Partner if your business or organization would like to help support the network through donations, sponsorships, resources, or collaboration.
Schools, nonprofits, churches, healthcare providers, and community organizations serving Miami-Dade County are welcome to apply to join the Neighborhood Needs Network and receive essential resources for the communities they serve.
Resources may include shelf-stable groceries, diapers, hygiene products, household essentials, and other basic necessities based on availability.
Resources are provided to approved organizations that have joined the Neighborhood Needs Network. Those organizations distribute the supplies directly to the children, families, seniors, and vulnerable residents they serve.

Preparing Communities Before Emergencies Happen
Be Ready Miami is Basic Needs Miami’s disaster preparedness initiative designed to help families prepare before hurricanes and other emergencies occur.
Working alongside schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations, we distribute preparedness bags filled with emergency essentials, along with QR-code keychains and refrigerator magnets that connect residents to trusted emergency information and local resources.
By preparing communities before disaster strikes, we help build safer, stronger, and more resilient neighborhoods.

Organizations can become distribution partners, sponsor preparedness supplies, or make a donation to help expand the program.
Community Pop-Ups
Bringing Resources Directly Into the Community
Community Pop-Ups allow Basic Needs Miami to meet people where they are. In partnership with local organizations, municipalities, and community events, we distribute mini grocery bags and essential supplies directly to seniors, families, and vulnerable residents.
These outreach events help address immediate needs while strengthening relationships with the organizations serving the community every day.
